We are incredibly proud and honoured that the Øer Chair, FM320 Deck Chair, has been nominated for Green Design of the Year at the Bo Bedre Design Awards 2026!
When we reintroduced Friis & Moltke’s iconic 1987 design, we had a clear vision: to show how responsible and meaningful design can shape the future today.
For us, green design is about more than just materials. It is about full transparency and a strong connection to local resources and craftsmanship:
Local materials: The chair is made from Douglas fir sourced, transported and processed locally, using timber from forests near Aarhus.
Full traceability: We have shortened the journey from forest to living room, allowing customers to trace the wood directly back to the specific forest plot where it grew.
Respect for nature: We produce the chair in limited quantities, allowing the forest time to regenerate and helping maintain a natural balance.
This nomination is a tremendous recognition of our efforts to bring materials and people closer together.
Congratulations to the other outstanding nominees in the category, all working towards a more sustainable everyday life. We look forward to the awards ceremony!
